Chi-cago! What an experience

Hello Family and Friends,

Duane and I arrived in Chicago last night, and after a nice ride, reached our Hotel. Duane is sleeping right now after a day of interviewing (sounds like it was pretty intense, way to go sweetie!) His interviews started at 9:20 am and just finished at 5pm. The company is Getco (That is short for Global Electronic Trading Company).

Getco is located in the Chicago Board of Trade

Luckily (and much to my delight) Getco is covering all the expenses for our 4 day trip (we will be here until sunday), and they sure know how to treat you! Our Hotel is the Trump Tower, an almost brand new building, built to be the third tallest building in Chicago (the city of skyscrapers). Mr. Donald Trump, from what I've learned, wanted to make his hotel the tallest in Chicago, but the city would not let him, so he settled as the third tallest (still a mirical of construction).

Trump, as is evident in this hotel, liked the opulent of the most opulent. In kelty words "this is the nicest place I've ever stayed in! wohooo! room service!" Every guest has their own attache (meaning, a personal helper) and everyone here is so nice. This morning I got into the elevator and there was a lady in there that was bringing service to a room and she apologized and walked out of the elevator, I wanted to call out to her and say "it's okay! I'm just a normal person too!" but she was gone too fast. When part of your work is customer service, I think you appreciate the efforts of the workers in a place like this so much more. Thank you Getco! It would be great to have Duane as part of the Getco team, but we have many great options and feel optomistic regardless of the outcome.
