Crazy Baby Dreams

This morning I woke up in a panic - In my dream I accidentally dropped my baby in a gutter and I couldn't find her! I had her in a baby Bjorn (I'm starting to get the mommy lingo:) and then I was standing over this large opening to the gutter and all the sudden the straps broke loose on the bottom of the holder, and my baby slipped right through. There was water gushing all over and I thrust my hands into the rubble, but to no avail, I was panicked.

Then I woke up.

I heard that crazy baby dreams are normal when you are pregnant - but. . . really.

I will definitely grasp my baby firmly over gutter openings, and am sure she will make it through infancy without trauma, however, this dream was a bit of a shocker.

Here is another shocker: My belly is starting to declare to the world what most of my family and friends already know "SHE'S PREGNANT" and it's a wonderful feeling (other than the nausea, of course).

I've decided to do a month by month picture (modest one, of course) so those who are interested in such things can watch the baby progress. disclaimer: THIS IS THE ONLY TIME IN MY WHITE/CAUCASIAN LIFE YOU WILL SEE ME BEAR MY TUMMY. Usually I avoid blinding people :)

Welcome to existence little Johnson!

Teehee! Gotta love the dreams... (did you read mine about Darth Vader? It was pretty cool.) But I'm sorry you had such a traumatic one right off the bat! I remember having a few of those, but I don't remember now what any of them were, thankfully.

Your tummy is so cute!!! How far along are you? Have you felt the baby move yet? That's pretty cool when you first feel it.

Love ya tons!

Ha, you cracked me with that last comment about your white belly. I and VERY excited to see it throughout pregnancy! Yes, the dreams are normal...and I noticed that you reffered to the baby as "her," is that a sign do ya think?

Kelty and Duane, it is so exciting to think about the many changes that will occur in your life when you welcome a new spirit into your home. It is still somewhat surreal to me to think that soon you will have a child and I will be an uncle to a little Johnson. I think it is wonderful and I just wanted you to know that I hope to support and help in what ever way I can, even if I am 1000s of miles away.

Dearest Kelty ~

I remember this phenomena so well! I often dreamed that my baby would be born as an animal. Or that it would grow smaller and smaller until I couldn't find it.

The photo tells it all! You are REALLY having a baby. I will love to see the monthly progress.

Loving you from Utah . . .

Wow, it is so cool to see your blog Kelty! Those pictures of Chicago, and the sights there, and pictures of your apartment, and thoughts and dreams... So neat to feel like I'm a part of in some way. Thanks for sharing!
