Chicago Mounted Patrol

On the way to School, the Doctor, or almost anywhere, I usually pass one of the Chicago Mounted Patrol units. The officers are always friendly and willing to answer questions. Out of curiosity, I asked one officer about their training program for their patrol horses, and we ended up having a great conversation about horses! What an ingenious idea - horses are the ultimate tool for getting anywhere, fast. They also command a certain respect, don't you think?

Talk about a neat job!

Having experienced the Windy City in winter, I'm not so sure. I think it would be much more pleasurable on Caye Caulker. (Of course, it wouldn't be needed.)
