Luckily, I was not alone in this adventure, and I had two good friends there riding with me: Thank you Tamara and Jasmine! It was a blast!
Starting in my Junior year of BYU studies, I began to ride at Oak Hills Stable. The people, the horses, and the excellent lessons stole my heart, and since then I have spent much of my free time up in the Salem mountains.
The parade was a chance to get the name of Oak Hills out into the public, and it just so happened to be one of my childhood wishes also! (lucky me). Maryann Ford, the owner of Oak Hills, put alot of trust in me to let me organize and lead this parade entry. I was also delighted to be able to ride Moroni, a peruvian paso fino with an excellent gaited walk. He was such a good boy through the whole ordeal, and helped calm the other two horses. Thank you so much to family and friends who cheered me on throught the parade - it was a great day.
