FRIDAY EVENING in downtown Chicago!

Last night Duane and I decided to walk through the park right next to our apartment building - and we found many exciting surprises!

The name of the park is Millennium Park (thus millennium park plaza).

There are several parts of Millennium Park - it suffices to say it's very large and has lots of art. The big face is actually a piece of art itself, and the entire structure is about 100 ft. tall, and has water spouting out of every part. The faces move and change form to be many different faces, and the at some random moment, the mouth opens and a gush of water streams out. We enjoyed watching delighted kids waiting for the "golden moment"

My favorite part was listening to the Grant Park Orchestra give a free concert of "Sparticus" - listening to a live orchestra somehow gives me tingles all up and down my spine. :)

It's so fun! Everyone brings lawn chairs and enjoys the music. The program is called:

Art Without Borders

I LIKE IT!

Looks like fun, Kelty! It's still so weird to think of you living in a big city... :)
